THE WIND YOU WOULDN’T KNOW

Don’t you know?
It’s a cruel world, cruel world
Imposing symmetry
It’s a cruel world, cruel world

It’s just the wind you wouldn’t know
Amidst haunted halls
You are my favorite weather
Under your finger
Sitting still and vanilla, tamped down and fuzzy
Like smoke tangled in a feather
Don’t you know?

It’s just a hard shell to crack
No lack of wishing things away
Into the cornfield
But every candied sunset caught
Is not the spirit of the dawn
I’ll meet you in the middle, meet you in the middle
Don’t you know?

Don’t you know?
It’s a cruel world, cruel world
Imposing symmetry
It’s a cruel world, cruel world

It’s just the reason of no-reason
All is never odd or even
When indoors the season’s cold
I don’t know how to fix it
But I can try, oh I will try
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know?
